Revolution Now protest holds nationwide

Nigerians have taken to the streets across the country to protest bad governance and insecurity in a themed protest known as, “Revolution Now” initiated by the publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore.

The protesters carrying placards and banners had set out as early as 8 am to demand good governance from the Buhari-led administration from different states in the country and even outside Nigeria. Some of their placards read, ‘Nigerians are sick and tired of poverty, corruption, injustice and untimely death’; ‘Say no to injustice’, ‘Yes to a living wage for unemployed youths’

Security agents including police and Army stormed the Unity center Abuja where the protesters converged, dispersed them, and got some of them arrested.
